The Promise Life Group is an unlikely bunch of senior adults stumbling through life as best they can. They need Jesus and each other to help figure it all out together. The group is for adults nearing retirement or in retirement. Their work lives may be winding down but they are pressing on toward the finish line, like Olympic gold medalists. Group members support each other and are involved together with Bellevue events such as women’s Bible study, Men of Memphis, and Bellevue Loves Memphis. The group meets in-person but also offers online attendance via Zoom.
Fred & Karen have been married since 1977. They have 2 daughters, both graduates of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Fred and Karen have taken classes there as well. They have 5 grandchildren. Fred is a petroleum geologist (Texas oil company) with a specialty in the new fad of carbon capture. Karen is a retired elementary school teacher. Fred enjoys classical music and keyboard (piano & organ). He was a long distance runner but now is a walker. Karen enjoys reading and cooking.
